Collectors Theodor and Isabella Dalenson have, at the encouragement of the Wetterling Gallery, hand-picked some of their favorite artists and put together an extraordinary group exhibition which will be displayed in Kungsträdgården until 27 April.
“Contemporary art is a reflection of our time and that is what makes it so exciting. In Now! we present our favorite artists, artists who are among the foremost today and whom we believe we will see a lot of in the future, ”says Theodor Dalenson.
Wetterling Gallery is proud to present major international names and important works in the exhibition, among these two of Ai Weiwei's 1001 chairs which were part of his presentation Fairytale during Documenta 12 in Kassel 2007. The Swedish audience has had the opportunity to meet some of the artists in museum exhibitions in Stockholm in recent years; most recently Ai Weiwei at Magazine III, and also Francesco Vezzoli, Yinka Shonibare and Barbara Kruger at Moderna Museet. For other artists, the exhibition NOW! Is the first exhibition in Sweden.
Isabella and Theodor Dalenson have been interested in art for 25 years and have followed, watched and supported both young and established artists for a long time. They have built up a significant collection of Swedish and international contemporary art and are both very active in the international art scene.
