Editor of Konsten.net, art critic and journalist Magnus Bons wrote an article on the topic of how the Covid-19 virus are affecting the art world, especially amongst galleries. Here in Stockholm, we are sadden by the news that Galerie Forsblom will shut down their Stockholm office. He also writes:
"The galleries are not just a possible source of income for those exhibiting there; for young artists, it is also an important path into the art world. For me and other critics, the galleries' exhibits obviously mean both jobs and a significant depth in our field. And for the average visitor, the galleries mean you can enjoy lots of contemporary art for free. Which is really just to see right there."
And we couldn't agree more with that!
