The Museum of Hälsingland presents a series of new works by Ylva Ceder. The series is called Ängder and consists of five large paintings depicting a fire-hardened landscape, black soil and blackened tree trunks. A quiet landscape that is preparing to be reborn with life. Ylva Ceder performs her paintings on birch pan and here she has worked with a gas burner and allowed the element fire itself to participate in the design of the works that depict the fire's energy and transforming power. Today's ongoing climate change is taking the step into contemporary art.
